The year 2020 has been nothing short of topsy-turvy. From volcanic eruptions to a global pandemic and eventually, a Luzon-wide quarantine, everyone’s lives have been thrown in a disarray. And with all the chaos, sometimes it helps to stay grounded. To go back to the good old days— when times were much simpler and more peaceful.

And what better way to reminisce than with food?

For those who want a touch of fancy fare that is comforting and nostalgic all the same, good news. The Manila Hotel now offers take out and deliveries! An icon, and one of the oldest hotels in the Philippines, the first thing that comes to mind is their food. And out of their trifecta of restaurants— Cafe Ilang-Ilang, Red Jade, and the classy Champagne Room— their casual dining wing Cafe Ilang-Ilang delivers.

Cafe Ilang-Ilang is a melting pot of various cuisines— Chinese, Filipino, and even the occasional Western dish here and there— and hungry patrons can now get a taste of their favorites starting today, April 3! Take note though that they’ve already been accepting pre-orders as early as April 1, so there might be a bit of a wait.

Check out some of their menu items here, along with some food photos that will make you drool:

Delivery and Pick up Reminders

Customers have the option of getting their orders directly from the hotel themselves in their back entrance at 25th street, Port Area, Manila, or they can book delivery services like GrabExpress and Lalamove. The fee for delivery or pick up is shouldered by the customer themselves, and Cafe Ilang-Ilang allots a lead time before each order is ready, so that it’s served fresh every time.

Customers have an option to pay via cash or credit card upon pick up, through online credit card or online bank transfer (BDO or BPI). For online payments, the proof of payment needs to be sent via Viber to 0998-9501912.

Food is best consumed within 4 hours, and no refunds will be accepted once paid for. The Manila Hotel will also be imposing a no-contact policy when giving our orders.
