For over thirty years, Hotel Sogo has been a familiar place for Filipinos looking for a clean and quiet room to rest. Along with a comfortable stay, many guests have come to enjoy the meals served by the hotel. Now, people can enjoy these simple dishes in their own homes through a new partnership with foodpanda.

The idea for this service started because of many direct requests from guests. People often contacted the Hotel Sogo Communication Center to ask if their favorite hotel meals could be delivered to their homes. By listening closely to what their guests wanted, the brand decided to make its menu open to everyone, even those who are not staying in a room.

The new delivery service officially started on September 28, 2026, during an event held at Hotel Sogo Santolan. To start, six branches are offering delivery through the foodpanda app. These locations include LRT Monumento, EDSA Cubao, EDSA Guadalupe, Pasay Rotonda, Pasay Harrison, and Santolan. The hotel plans to expand this service to all 52 of its branches across the country before the end of the year.
The menu features popular local food items that many Filipinos enjoy every day. Hotel Sogo Corporate Marketing Head Sue Geminiano pointed out choices like pancit, crispy pata, half-fried chicken, pakbet, and clubhouse sandwiches. She explained that the hotel works hard to prepare and pack the food neatly so that customers get a good dining experience at home or at work.

During the launch event, representatives from both companies spoke about the main goal of the project, which is to bring convenience and good food to people. Foodpanda Sales Manager Andrew Hornshaw and Regional Manager Andreu Sevillo expressed excitement about working together to bring meals directly to customers through their delivery riders. Famous Filipino cook Chef Tatung also attended the event and noted how helpful it is for people to get these dishes delivered without needing to travel or book a room.

The launch celebration featured fun games and activities for the guests who attended. Participants played a quick ordering game and visited interactive booths to collect fresh vegetables and everyday groceries. The event had the friendly feel of an open neighborhood market. Local food and drink brands also joined in to support the gathering with free samples and items.
Through this simple change, Hotel Sogo opens its doors to a wider audience. Regular guests can now enjoy their favorite meals whenever they want, while new customers can try the food for the first time. Anyone interested in ordering can search for Sogo Food on the foodpanda app to check if delivery is available in their local area.
