Some Netizens launched their theories on why there was a lurking wild animal in public stating that it was a part of “Malabon Zoo’s ritual to take out animals so that the animals will not get bored. ”

Others were shocked at the physique of the tiger saying that it was “too thin” that maybe the owner was “nagtitipid” with the tiger’s food since it requires a lot to feast on day to day. Others were very confused at the fact that the alleged pet was even legal to obtain.

These theories still remain theories and leave open-ended questions: Is owning a wild animal legal in the Philippines? If so what are the requirements of such ownership? Are zoos allowed to take their wild animals out in the open?
