Wil Dasovich Shares His Cancer Journey Publicly for the First Time

After a year since he had been freed of cancer, Wil Dasovich is finally ready to share his journey of battling the illness.

The vlogger took to Instagram to share a photo of him speaking at a public forum for the Strong for Someone campaign, which aims to support for all Filipinos diagnosed with cancer, on National Cancer Survivors Day last June 2.

“I have always declined public talks that revolve around my battle & treatments because public speaking itself is hard enough for me,” Dasovich admitted in the post. “[I] always find difficulty when speaking and somewhat reliving the entire experience.”

“But for this advocacy I was finally ready to come out and share my story in hopes to both motivate others going through a similar experience and most importantly spread awareness for this incredible campaign,” he continued.

He explained that he decided to be part of the Strong For Someone campaign because it “is the 1st real program I have come across in the Philippines that is offering to provide so much for cancer patients, both financially and emotionally”.

Dasovich acknowledged that the battle with cancer is tough without the support of others, something he said he was fortunate enough to have but not everyone did.

“For any cancer patients, or even family/friends that need support, I encourage you to join the #StrongForSomeone Facebook page and be a part of this community,” he shared.

“And to everyone who has battled or is currently going through a great challenge, my prayers go out to both you and your family,” he added.

Dasovich first went public about his cancer diagnosis in August 2017. On February 2018, he posted an emotional vlog that revealed he was finally cancer free.
