Last Glimpse…
Seeing Mae getting busy with what she does best and really known for, I guess it was time to insert some “me-time”, again…
Quarter past the hour of 7 in the evening, I was assuming I’d be wading against a less than warm water in a swimming pool. Growing up in a town surrounded by pools and hot springs, hotel pools in Manila seldom impress me (I mean, how can you relax if you’re freezing in between laps?). But the Oasis pool by the Courtyard had me at free style, breaststroke, back floating, treading and swimming deep down the surface.
Who needs a bathtub?

It was around 9 o’clock when Mae and I went for another astonishing dinner created by Chef Chris.
Already filled up but couldn’t get enough, we requested if we could finish the desserts in our room. Thus, Edward, one of the senior staff, quickly got a tray and started picking up our dessert plates and followed us to our boudoir.
Darkness deepened, I rested at a narrow alley enough to place a coffee table for two surrounded by tiny Forget-Me-Nots. The quietness of the surrounding rolled two words – tranquil and homey- into one. And because my safety would not be compromised as there are roving security officers in and around(outside) the hotel, I decided to give the place a deeper look.
…Last glimpse …of a lasting impression
Every step down the stairs led to a captivating courtyard surrounded by yellow lights which gave the place a cross between nostalgic and romantic glow that revealed how charming this boutique hotel can be, especially at night…which instantly made me forget about how, two days ago, I was in darn need of a compass to point me to the right direction when in Manila… That the sight of OASIS PACO PARK HOTEL became an oasis in my eyes.
