Hotel Sogo officially entered its tech era with the launch of the Hotel Sogo Mobile App. Held at Eurotel North EDSA, the “SOGO ON THE GO” event proved that this iconic brand is ready to cater to the modern, tech-savvy Filipino traveler.
We all know the tagline, but Hotel Sogo is adding a few more “Sos” to the list. According to the leadership team, the goal is simple: make your stay So Fast, So Easy, and So Digital.
During the launch, Corporate Marketing Head Ms. Sue Geminiano shared that this isn’t just about a new piece of software—it’s about evolution.
“Today, we are not simply launching an app. We are launching the next chapter of Hotel Sogo,” Geminiano stated. “The app gives our guests the power to choose where, when, and how they want to stay with just a few taps.”
The app currently features Real-time room availability across 50+ nationwide branches, Integrated secure payment gateways for cashless transactions., Digital check-in features to reduce lobby wait times and localized search for both urban centers and provincial hubs.
The Hotel Sogo Mobile App is available for download on the Google Play Store for Android users. The company confirmed that an iOS version for the Apple App Store is currently in development and expected to be released shortly.
Despite the heavy push toward automation, the leadership team reassured the public that the brand’s core identity remains intact. Mr. Christian Estrellado noted that while the new systems prioritize speed and efficiency, the app is intended to “support, not replace” the human element of Filipino hospitality.
Looking ahead, Hotel Sogo plans to expand the app’s capabilities to include loyalty rewards tracking and personalized in-app support, further cementing its position as a tech-forward leader in the budget hospitality sector.
