If you’re a Potterhead, then you’ve probably already heard this: The cast of the iconic Harry Potter film franchise is reuniting for a TV special!
The first Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, came out 20 years ago (TWENTY. OMG.). And to celebrate the beginning of a decade of magic, HBO is gathering the HP cast for a TV special that will surely have all of us Potterheads bawling.
And today, HBO released the first official trailer of the reunion special, aptly titled, “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts.” The teaser shows actors Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid) and Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) receiving their “alumni” invitation from Hogwarts, as well as a glimpse of Platform 9 and 3/4.
The franchise’s iconic trio, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson, are set to appear alongside other Harry Potter actors Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort), Gary Oldman (Sirius Black), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), and many more.
