Nope, this is not a prank: our favorite “Harry Potter” stars are reuniting!
Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint are coming together to commemorate the film franchise’s 20th anniversary in a television special, along with a bunch of other members of the cast.
According to a press release by Warner Bros., among those who will make an appearance on the TV special titled “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts” are Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Gary Oldman (Sirius Black), and many others. Director Chris Columbus will also be there.
The 20th Anniversary special will be filmed on the set where the first movie, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” was shot in London.
Notably absent, however, will be original book author J.K. Rowling who has been involved in a number of controversies in recent years particularly for her harmful comments about the transgender community.
The special can be streamed by Filipinos locally on HBO GO on January 1, 2022.
