WATCH: The Avengers Have A Special Message for Filipino Fans

The Philippines has long been considered the largest Marvel fanbase in South East Asia. Despite that, we’ve never had a fan event or promotional event of our own for any Marvel movie. Logistically, it makes sense because they have busy schedules and need time for larger countries. It’s still always been a little disappointing.

At least part of that disappointment has been rectified with this special message from the Avengers cast for Filipino viewers. A ‘thank you’ video was posted by the official Marvel Philippines Facebook page after Avengers: Endgame broke opening day box office records here in the Philippines. The movie made Php 205,675,345 (around $3,941,704) on the first day alone.

Because of this, cast members Robert Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner, and Brie Larson all recorded a message of thanks to fans here in the Philippines. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo also appeared to express their gratitude. Robert Downey Jr., known for playing Iron Man, ended with the sweet sentiment:

To our fans in the Philippines who have been deemed the biggest fans in Southeast Asia, from the bottom of my arc reactor heart, thank you for the overwhelming love and support you’ve shown to the MCU for the past 10 years.
