13 Reasons Why, the best-selling young adult novel by Jay Asher, is getting a TV treatment. The story is a bit on the mystery side, playing on the haunting theme of teenage suicide. A high school student ends her life, and a boy receives a mail containing cassette tapes from Hannah, the girl who took her life.
The 13-episode series is executive produced by actress and singer Selena Gomez, who calls the show her “passion project”. 13 Reasons Why premieres on March 31st.
