WATCH: Linkin Park Perform ‘In the End’ at a Surprise Show in NYC Train Station

“I’m a huge Linkin Park fan. I happened to be walking home from work and here we are.” One lucky commuter tells the story of how he stumbled upon Linkin Park’s secret show in an interview with US channel, ABC News.

The rock royalty band put up a set in Grand Central Station, one of New York City’s famous subway stops. This pop-up show was part of American morning talk show Good Morning America’s “Pop-Up Week”, a week-long event that features musical artists performing in unsuspecting parts of the Big Apple.

Once the band started playing and the spectators piled up, word easily got out, until Grand Central Station was packed with adoring fans. By the end of the set when Linkin Park performed an acoustic version of their number one hit “In the End”, Chester Bennington (vocals), didn’t have to sing anymore.

The crowd took it away, and it was all kinds of marvelous.
