WATCH: “A Journey Through Sri Lanka” Travel Video

The people, the food, the beaches…I’d constantly hear great things about Sri Lanka. I’ve even heard from surfer friends of mine that the beaches there are great for surfing, so if you’re a surfer and like to explore new places for the waves, Sri Lanka is a place to put on your travel bucketlist.

Just take it from Benjamin Woodard, an American living and traveling in Asia. He made this travel video of Sri Lanka, and it’ll give you an amazing peek into the adventures that await you there. Here is what Woodard has to say about Sri Lanka:

“Sri Lanka is an incredibly beautiful country. The warmth of the people, the smells, the nature, the scenery and the amazing amount of wildlife were all so much more than I expected. I decided to name this film Serendipity for two reasons. The first being that it was such an amazing discovery to me, and the second because the word serendipity is actually derived from the old Persian name for Sri Lanka. How serendipitous!

Filmed over the course of 16 days in Negombo, Dambullah, Sigirya, Polonnaruwa, Kandy, Ella, Yala National Park, Tissamaharama, Mirissa, Unawatuna, Galle and Colombo.

I tried to convey the whirlwind of sights, sounds and feelings I experienced. I hope you enjoy it! Leave a comment if you did! I’d really appreciate it.”
