Ryan Ang is a 16-year-old basketball coach living in New Jersey. As of posting, the state has 427 COVID-19 cases. With quarantine set in place, the young trainer decided to bring his basketball coaching online.

“The coronavirus is not a joke, and it should not be taken lightly,” said Ang.

“Unfortunately due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was a very difficult decision to put my training to a hold… I’ve gotten many calls inquiring about my one-on-one and team trainings, however for safety reasons I had to turn them down, because safety come first for the athletes and myself.”

With the accessibility of live-streaming technology, Ang is able to teach basketball online especially to young Filipinos who may want to take a shot at the NBA someday.

The coach even waived his $25 fee.

“It is very vital for everyone, especially athletes to remain active, during these tough times, remaining active  will help one in physical shape, as well as mentally in shape.”

Ang is one of the youngest basketball coaches in New Jersey.
