Nothing beats weekend food trips. The idea of visiting different places in search for mouthwatering dishes is truly exciting.
Do not fret, though, even if you are not in the mood to go from one place to another to try different cuisines. Fortunately, there is a place where you can sample dishes from different places without having to go elsewhere. That place is Vikings, the biggest buffet restaurant in the country.
What makes Vikings really charming, especially to food lovers, is the fact that it can take you on an instant trip around the world in any of its locations. In any Vikings branch, you can indulge in dishes that usually cost a lot when bought separately from different restaurants.
We loved this idea, of course, so we tried the restaurant’s famous lunch buffet one Saturday noon. We chose the branch located inside SM North EDSA The Block in Quezon City and were greeted by its sophisticated interiors. Honestly, it felt like being in a very classy hotel.
Really impressed by what we saw, we could not help but ask the staff what its theme was all about. Then, we were told that it was “black and white”. We also learned that each Vikings branch had a different theme.
Apart from the restaurant’s astonishing look, we were also delighted to see the different cuisines that were available inside the restaurant. The sight of different dishes for various cultures truly excited us, so we wasted no more time and started indulging.
We had a great time munching on fresh salads. They were so fresh that we could not help but think of farms as we munched on some fresh fruits and greens.
Other appetizers were amazing, too. In fact, we had a wonderful time sampling the different types of cheese that were available. We loved how each one was different from another and definitely appreciated the sensation brought by flavors exploding inside our mouths. We also liked the classic appetizers like chicken feet. Cooked the right way, these chicken feet had the right texture so they were really easy to eat.
We also lined up for steaks, which we loved so dearly for being so juicy and flavorful. Each steak was cooked right, so we never had to struggle slicing and chewing them.
