On October 29, the MICHELIN Guide held an awards ceremony at the Manila Marriott Hotel at Newport World Resorts, recognizing 127 establishments across Metro Manila, Cavite, Pampanga, and Cebu.
For this year’s edition, the selection features one Two Michelin Star restaurant, nine One Michelin Star restaurants, 31 Bib Gourmand awardees, and 86 Michelin Selected restaurants. Furthermore, four chefs have been honored with special awards. Last year, 108 establishments were recognized.
Michelin inspectors assess restaurants on five universal criteria: quality of ingredients, mastery of cooking techniques, harmony of flavors, the personality of the cuisine, and consistency.
