Update on Homeless Kid Trying to Read and Study

 

If you haven’t heard, there was this story that went viral about this homeless kid who would rummage through old books just so he could try to study. It’s a really heartwarming story about someone who desperately deserved and needed some help.

A week or so has passed since we posted that story, and here’s an update on the homeless kid, Jayvee, and the cool burger guy Jairus David. #faithinhumanityrestored

Took Jayvee for lunch and eye check up today. Big thanks to Eric Diao for the groceries and lunch. To TV5 – Bogs, Arvi and Cheska Calayag for the food, ride and kindest words. Big thanks too – The Medical City and to Drs. Bryan Atienza and Pauline Santiago. Dr. Atienza is the one who reached out to me here on FB through Wheninmanila.com (by Vince Golangco). Dr. Atienza is an MD with a huge heart for people like Jayvee. Dr. Pauline Santiago on the other hand, is an excellent UP-PGH/US-trained pediatric ophthalmologist. A renowned ophthalmologist. Thank you very much!!!  

As per the docs’ advice, Jayvee will be needing glasses asap. So we’re now looking for sponsors.
