Travel Guide for Enjoying Boracay for as Low as Php 3,000

Want to visit the world’s number 1 island? You can experience Boracay for as low as Php 3,000 in 2 days and 1 night (not including airfare). You don’t need to spend a fortune to enjoy the white sand beach of this number 1 island destination. It’s possible with the right itinerary and knowing where to stay and eat. You may spend more, but it’s really up to your preference where you plan to eat and party.

Here are tips on how you can go on your dream Boracay vacation without spending too much:

10. Plan ahead

Make sure to have an itinerary ready to avoid overspending. This can save you time and energy as well. Having a plan will make your travels more convenient. Ask people who have been to the place you’re going to get their opinions.

9. Relaxing vs. exciting

Decide if you’re up for some adventures in Boracay (like cliff diving) or just want to chill by the beach. Your budget will vary depending on your preference. You can check with the tourism office at the port to get the best deals if you’re planning for some adventures.

8. Promo promo promo!

My budget does not include airfare since that really depends on your choice of travel date and airline. Don’t worry, all you need to do to afford a cheap flight is to wait for AirAsia’s Red Hot Piso Fare. I was fortunate to have had the chance to buy mine from AirAsia’s sale in June.

My flight from Manila to Kalibo and back only cost me Php. 971.24!

7.  Cozy, not fancy

Hunt for cheap accommodation. I stayed at T-Three Apartments. You can contact them at 0977-805-9655. It’s right in the middle of D’Palengke beside D’Mall at Station 2.

Spend the night for Php 1,200. There’s no need to be staying at a fancy hotel if you’ll be spending most of your time at the beach.

6. Go local

Be on the look out for great local food. Check out D’Palengke’s paluto strip. Restaurant prices can be even more expensive than their branches in Manila. Go for something you can’t easily get in the metro.

Don’t miss Jasper’s Tapsilog and Resto right before you enter D’Palengke. For as low as Php 70, you can enjoy your favorite silog meals.
