10. Rise and shine – See the Sunrise over the Himalayas

Waking up at 4am is definitely worth it here! You’ll need to find a tour guide or a van to take you up to Sarangkot Mountain or other high up places for the best views. We recommend contacting Himalayan Encounters Adventure Travel.

This is really a MUST do and sunrise is really the best! It’s absolutely breathtaking to see the sun first hit the white tipped mountains and turn them into gold. It was so beautiful that you could hear a collective *sigh* from the people there as the sun slowly draped the Himalayas.

9. A mountain a day, keeps the doctor away – Explore the International Mountain Museum

Part of the rich culture and tourism industry of Nepal is mountain climbing. I mean of course it is, they have some of the most beautiful mountains in the world! So it’s great to take a PEAK (pun intended) into this magnificent trial that many people choose to partake in.

The International Mountain Museum was partially opened on May, 2002 by famous climbers Ms. Tabei Junko and Appa Sherpa. It was fully opened for public on feb 05, 2004.

8. Nomnomnom – Try the traditional Thali meal

Thali is a traditional Indian meal that consists of various delicacies depending on the region you’re in. In Nepal, you will often find rice, vegetables, roti, yoghurt, pickle, beans and a curry.

Not only do the flavors blend together seamlessly, but you also feel very healthy and good about yourself for eating something like this as compared to the high calorie and rich fat contents of fast food. You’ll feel good both in your mind and body as you also won’t feel bloated or fatty after this Thali meal.

I recommend trying it at Krishnarpan Restaurant in Kathmandu Nepal for Authentic Nepalese Food: Six Course Krishnarpan Dinner – https://www.wheninmanila.com/krishnarpan-restaurant-in-kathmandu-nepal-for-authentic-nepalese-food-six-course-krishnarpan-dinner/
