3. Get some spiritual healing – Visit a Buddha Stupa

We were told that once the Buddha passes away, his ashes, belongings and relics are all buried in a temple like structure called a Buddha Stupa.

The structure itself is completely filled in with cement. So it’s not like a temple or anything that you can enter. What’s nice though is that the Buddha Stupa is built in a circular compound where stores, coffee shops, restaurants, temples and more are all around it. It really makes for a great walk!

2. Go jump off a cliff! – Paragliding

This has got to be one of the most thrilling things I’ve done in my life! And it all happened in the quiet lakeside town of Pohkara, Nepal.

For paragliding, you’ll be paired up with a pilot whom you’ll be strapped in with for your flight. Don’t worry as you don’t need to pick one yourself and they’re all certified and fully qualified to get you off the ground.

This was definitely a game changer! Add the beautiful landscape of Nepal to the fact that I’m flying, and…, well…, it really can’t get much better than this! Oh and did I mention I was flying!?

1. See the highest point on planet Earth – Mt Everest

Of course, the one place known all over the world in Nepal is Mt Everest! The highest mountain on earth!

Whether you want to take the 8-day trek to Mt Everest Base Camp, actually climb the mountain, or fly around it, you need to find a way to see this world famous landscape!

I didn’t actually have the time to take the trek to basecamp so instead took a $100 flight that takes you around the mountain.

Mt. Everest is just completely breathtaking as it rests upon the clouds! From hearing about it and studying it in elementary to actually seeing it in front of you, it’s really a moment you’ll remember your whole life!
