Hey guys! So the long weekend came up and we were thinking of where to go or be busy during this Halloween season. Thankfully, we were invited by Post Adventures Inc. to check out this year’s Wake Park World Championship which was held in Camsur Watersports Complex (CWC) last October 29-31!

Did you know that CWC is the first world-class water sport complex in the Philippines? When we arrived at the location, we were greeted with an amazing view of the wake park, six point cable, top of the line facility, clubhouse accommodations, 500 grooves, and big wake boarding area. CWC is now on it’s 10th year and they host the best parties!
Wake Park World Championship brings the best wake board riders in the world with 244 entries and 213 competitors from 23 countries, making this one of the biggest wake events in the world! This was made possible by the World Wake Association with the help of the Philippines’ Department of Tourism. The event aims towards making Camarines Sur the mecca for Wakeboarding.
The competition was split into different divisions: Junior Boys (9 & under), Boys and Girls (10-13), Junior Men and Women (14-18), Men’s (19-29), Masters Men and Women (30-39), and Veterans (40 and over). Riders competed with each other to win the title “WWA Wake Board Champions of 2016”.

Ultimately, out of hundreds of pro riders who joined the competition, professional Men’s rider Guenther Oka (USA) and Professional Women’s rider Julia Rick (GER) rode their way to the top and won both their Features Only and Traditional Wake Park divisions at the 2016 WWA Wake Park World Championships.

After the awarding ceremony, the event wouldn’t be complete without an after party! The Hallo-wake party was their version of a Halloween party and amazing cash prizes were given to the winners for best Halloween costume and special categories like sexiest, funniest, and scariest.
