3PM to 6PM –Â Sunset at Aniao Islets
After resting, we spent our afternoon at Aniao Islets to witness the magical Pacific Ocean rise as the sun sets.
Aniao Islets is the perfect place to reflect and contemplate. Watching the waves crash as the sun sets, opening up and connecting a little deeper with your friends.
Day Three
7AM to 12Noon –Â Catching the Glorious Waves of Sabang Beach
The next morning, we grabbed surfboards and experienced the proud waves of Baler… but we had a big problem. We didn’t know how to surf! Good thing Old Parola Seaside Cottages offers surf lessons by Freedom Surf School.
Kuya Aries, the owner, and head coach of Freedom Surf School, personally trained us on how to ride our first wave.
A couple of minutes into the lesson, we were ready to paddle out to the sea and try to catch our first wave.
Just a couple of tries. We finally caught our first wave. So stoked!
After an hour or so, we realized that we should’ve gone surfing on our first day in Baler. Freedom Surf School taught us really well, considering that we had no idea how to surf at all. You can find them beside Old Parola Seaside Cottages in Sabang Beach.
We can personally say that 3 days in Baler isn’t enough since Baler has a lot more to offer, including cliff diving spots, snorkeling spots and lots of surfing. We’re definitely gonna come back real soon for more, and this time, we’ll book for a week to cherish Baler a little longer.
Each one of us has our own personal journey and challenges, and our trip to Baler has been enlightening to all of us in our own personal way. Our friendship that lasted throughout the years has surpassed another level on this trip. While looking at the waves of Sabang Beach before we left, we realized that even though we’re facing our own personal problems and challenges, we were reminded that we are not facing it alone. #RealSquadGoals
