The 7 Cons and 7 Pros of Being ‘Too Skinny’

Despite the disadvantages of the skinny life “choosing us” (and not we choosing it), there are also ways we maximize this ‘blessing in disguise’. Here are some of them!

THE PROS

#1 You contribute to society by fitting into that last tiny space in the shuttle, jeepney, or FX.

The 7 Cons and 7 Pros of Being 'Too Skinny'

FEELS. May it be that last tiny 15-inch spot in the jeepney, shuttle or FX, don’t you hate that moment when the conductor chooses you to take that spot instead of just letting it go, so you can have a more comfortable seating position on the next ride? Well, on the positive side, it’s like contributing to society as well and to the profits of the operators. It’s like the conductor saying “Oh no, there’s just one more spot and it’s small, but look, there’s Mr./Ms. Skinny Person to the rescue!”

#2. You can eat what you want when you want to and not have eyes feast on you and judge you.

The 7 Cons and 7 Pros of Being 'Too Skinny'

If you have a fast metabolism, you have that ‘privilege’ of outlasting your friends at a buffet because you know to yourself that in the end, nothing will happen to your weight (sadly). But then, you still get to eat, eat and eat!

#3 Take advantage of mall-wide sales!

The 7 Cons and 7 Pros of Being 'Too Skinny'

While it was mentioned that it’s relatively hard to find the right clothes to hide your slenderness, being thin somehow eases this task as it helps you financially! Because of your skinny frame, you are better able to take advantage of sales and avoid special tailoring. Nice consolation, huh?

#4 Run or walk long distances without having difficulty breathing.

#5 You don’t get suggestions to join “weight loss programs” or go on “weight loss diets”.

#6 You produce less body door.

The 7 Cons and 7 Pros of Being 'Too Skinny'

According to slingingthebull.com, while skinny people do not immediately have less body odor than others, we perspire less because of the lack of folds of skin that decrease air flow around the body. In addition to that, thin people are usually energetic and are more prone to change clothes to eliminate odors.

#7 Getting drunk is way cheaper.

The 7 Cons and 7 Pros of Being 'Too Skinny'

Since skinny people retain water less, we are more prone to getting drunk on a typical beer-drinking night, so it costs less to let peers achieve this feat. As a result, your friends usually make you a target in these kind of occasions.
