Finally! The critically acclaimed film “Sunshine” will be streaming exclusively on Netflix this month.

The sports drama film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. It was also a part of the Palm Springs International Film Festival. In July 2025, it had its nationwide theatrical release.
Written and directed by Antoinette Jadaone, “Sunshine” follows the story of a young gymnast who suddenly discovers she is pregnant during the week of the national team tryouts. It is headlined by Maris Racal, with stellar acting performances from Jennica Garcia, Annika Co, Meryll Soriano, Elijah Canlas, and Xyriel Manabat.
It also won the prestigious Crystal Bear for Best Film in the Generation 14plus section at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale). Moreover, the film also made it to the official shortlist of those being considered as the Philippine entry for the Best International Feature Film category at the upcoming 98th Academy Awards.
“Sunshine” will be available for streaming on Netflix on November 26, 2025.
