English actor Jonathan Bailey has been named PEOPLE Magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” this year.

The selection was announced in an episode of “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” where Jonathan also expressed his enthusiasm for having been chosen.

“It’s an honor of a lifetime,” he said. “I’m sort of thrilled that People Magazine has invited someone in, to bestow this honor on someone who can really cherish the value of a sexy man.”
The award-winning actor is best known for his performances in “Bridgerton” and “Wicked.”

For this feat, the 37-year-old actor also made history as the first gay man to be chosen by the magazine.
In 2024, PEOPLE named American actor and filmmaker John Krasinski as the “Sexiest Man Alive.”
PEOPLE began its “Sexiest Man Alive” list in 1985, recognizing “very handsome, talented, and charitable men” through the years. Previous titleholders include David Beckham, John Legend, Chris Evans, and Paul Rudd, among others.
