In an Instagram post, fashion designer Vania Romoff revealed that actress Catherine Laga’aia wore one of her creations during the Tokyo press tour for the live-action film “Moana.”

Catherine stunned in a hand-smocked camisa in piña fabric, paired with a nude Penny Skirt, which is a contemporary take on the timeless Filipiniana silhouette.
Her elegant look quickly caught the attention of netizens, who praised Vania for showcasing Filipino craftsmanship on the global stage through a modern Filipiniana. The Filipina designer has also dressed tennis star Alex Eala in a contemporary Filipiniana ensemble in a separate event.
