Marian Rivera’s Balota will be streaming exclusively on Netflix this month!

The political drama film premiered first at Cinemalaya 2024 last August 2024. In October 2024, the movie had its nationwide theatrical release.
Directed by Kip Oebenda, the film follows a land-grabbing tycoon and a former male sexy actor who are in a tight race for the mayoral seat. When violence ensues, a teacher named Emmy (played by Marian) runs into the forest with the ballot box containing the last copy of the election results.
With this film, Marian won Best Actress at the 20th Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival.
Balota will be available for streaming on Netflix on January 31, 2025.
