Ryan Gosling continues to exude Ken-energy as his hilarious ballad on Barbie film I’m Just Ken officially entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 87. This marks the actor’s first-ever chart appearance.
According to Luminate, as reported by Billboard, the song, which was released on July 21 alongside Barbie film, debuted with 5.2 million U.S. streams and 2,000 downloads sold in its opening week. I’m Just Ken also landed at number 4 on Hot Rock Songs, number 5 on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, and number 39 on Digital Song Sales.
For those who are curious or haven’t watched Barbie yet, the song is an emotional 80s-inspired ballad that Gosling’s character, Ken, sang while lamenting his predicament in life of being equal to Barbie. It transitioned into a choreographed number involving all the other Kens, featuring musicians Slash and Wolfgang Van Halen on guitar.
