Ryan Gosling Gifts BTS’ Jimin His Guitar From ‘Barbie’ Movie

BTS’ Jimin just received Ryan Gosling’s special gift! The Hollywood star gave his guitar from the Barbie movie to the South Korean superstar to abide by the “unspoken Ken code.”

On July 20, Gosling sent a pre-recorded video message to Jimin after noticing that his cowboy outfit as Ken was similar to the latter’s outfit in the 2021 music video of BTS’ Permission to Dance.

“Hi, Jimin. It’s Ryan Gosling here. I noticed that your ‘Permission to Dance’ outfit was the same as my Ken outfit in the upcoming movie Barbie,” the actor said.

The outfit in question is a long sleeve black cowboy shirt embroidered with white flowers and tassels.

“I have to give it to you. You wore it first, you definitely wore it best, and there’s an unspoken Ken code that if you bite another Ken’s style, you have to give them your most prized possession,” he continued.

Gosling revealed that he’d give Ken’s guitar to Jimin as his “humble offering.”

He added, “So I hope you’ll accept Ken’s guitar as my humble offering. Besides, Ken doesn’t really play anyway, so it’ll be much better in your hands.”

On Instagram, Jimin responded to Gosling’s message upon receiving the guitar to express his gratitude.

“Hi Ryan and hi Ken! It’s Jimin. Congrats on your big release. My fans are excited to see your video. So, thank you so much. I could see that you look great in my outfit. Thank you for this guitar. I really love it, and I look forward to watching Barbie. Go Barbie!” he said.

ARMYs got excited about this unexpected interaction, knowing Jimin’s favorite movie is The Notebook, which starred Gosling. In 2022, the K-pop superstar shared on the fan community app, Weverse, that he had already watched it seven times.
