It’s official: Phoebe Dynevor is set to star in the film adaptation of Emily Henry’s bestselling novel “Beach Read.”

According to a report published by Deadline, Phoebe will take on the role of January Andrews. The 30-year-old actress is best known for her acting performance in the first two series of “Bridgerton,” as well as films “Colour Room,” “Fair Play,” and “Inheritance.”

“EXCLUSIVE: Phoebe Dynevor has been tapped for a lead role in ‘Beach Read,’ 20th Century Studios’ adaptation of the New York Times bestselling novel from Emily Henry,” Deadline captioned its post.
Published in 2020, “Beach Read” follows the story of January, a successful romance author who is struggling with grief and writer’s block, and Gus Everett, a literary fiction author who was once her college rival. As they spend the summer together (both struggling with writer’s block), they challenge each other to swap genres and write a book in the other’s style.
This upcoming film adaptation will be directed by Yulin Kuang, the co-writer of People We Meet on Vacation, which is another bestselling novel by Emily.
More details, such as the actor portraying the role of Gus, are yet to be announced.
