The former Darna actress took to Instagram to share her words.

Patawad kung minsan ay pasaway. Ngunit nais iparating, kakampi nyo kami, health workers,” she began. “Mag do-doble ingat para makagaan sa pasanin kahit paano. Wag sanang panghinaan ang inyong loob. Mahal namin kayo. Naka-supporta kami sa inyo. Kailangan namin kayo. Kayong mga bayani sa giyerang ito. Maraming salamat sa sakripisyo para sa amin.

[Translation: Forgive us if we don’t do as we’re told sometimes. However, I want you to know that we’re on your side, health workers. We will take extra care so that the burden eases somewhat on your shoulders. Please don’t lose heart. We love you. We support you. We need you. You are the heroes in this battle. Thank you very much for your sacrifices.]

In a separate post, Angel also lamented the government’s alleged lack of compassion towards these medical front-liners.

Nung una, UP ang kalaban… Ngayon naman health workers. Pagsuporta ang kailangan. Hindi pagsindak. COVID po ang kalaban. Hindi ang mamamayan,” she said.

[Translation: At first, it was UP who was the enemy. Now it’s the health workers. Support is what is needed, not intimidation. COVID-19 is the enemy, not the Filipino people.]
