Amid a perceived online “clash” due to differing opinions on joining street protests, Angel Locsin and Jane De Leon have shared to the public that they are actually in good terms with one another after Jane posted a screenshot of her video call with the older actress.
Jane did not write any caption other than three heart emojis representing the colors of the ABS-CBN Network logo.
Fellow Kapamilya star Iza Calzado likewise attended the call.
This call comes after netizens were divided between Angel’s thoughts on celebrities remaining silent amid social and political issues, particularly in the wake of the denial of a fresh franchise for their network, and Jane’s statement about wanting to distance herself from crowds out of concern for public health and safety and staying positive despite current circumstances.
Let’s not forget that our Frontliners continue to face life and death situation as they are being challenged in saving more lives. Though it is uncertain if it was truly directed towards the Darna successor, Angel seemingly addressed Jane’s statement by saying, “No one asked you to go a rally. Obviously, you don’t need to go out to use your voice for the voiceless. But making up an excuse to save face at the expense of those who are fighting for their lives is purely disgusting.”
