After coming from a huge victory over the Sri Lanka Brave Reds last Sunday, our Philippine National Football Team ‘Azkals’ is set to face Kuwait Football Team for the 2nd Round of FIFA World Cup Qualifying Finals.
Their first match will happen on July 23 at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, while their next match will be on July 28 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium as announced by Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) Chariman and Philippine Football Federation (PFF) Advisory Council Member Monico Puentevella.
Meanwhile, PFF Media Officer Rick Olivarez said that the Azkals will leave for Bahrain next week to undergo training for Middle East conditions.
Azkals currently ranks 159th in the world while Kuwait Football Team ranks 102th. Yes, When in Manila, these things matter teehee.
It’s crucial for Neil Etheridge and the rest of the Azkals to win their upcoming games because it will bring them a step closer to the prestigious FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil.
It would be great if the Azkals could finally represent our country for the World Cup. Eyes on the prize! We’ll get there soon.
