Kris Aquino took to social media early Sunday, April 19, 2026, to mark a personal family milestone: her son Bimby Yap’s 19th birthday.
In an Instagram post, the Queen of All Media shared a short video clip showing an intimate moment at home with Bimby and his older brother Joshua. In the video, Bimby is seen tucking his mother into bed, while Kris can be heard gently asking him about a girl he reportedly has an interest in.

Alongside the clip, Kris reflected on this stage in her son’s life, including her openness toward the possibility of him entering his first relationship.
“I never thought I’d be excited for the day when Bimb really likes a girl,” she wrote, adding that Bimby had mentioned someone he considers “special,” and shared a birthday wish centered on his happiness and future relationships.
The celebrity mom also recalled asking him about sending small gifts such as flowers, chocolates, and a hoodie set, which Bimby reportedly discouraged, saying it might feel overwhelming.
“I’ve been asking Bimb the past couple of weeks if ‘we’ can send her flowers, balloons, candies/chocolates, food, [half] of a couple hoodie in white since it’s summer, I asked Bimb if she had a new phone—he freaked and said: ‘Mama, chill. You’ll overwhelm her because she’ll know it’s not from me but from you. Please let it flow?’” Kris wrote.

The veteran host also reflected on what she considers her son’s long-standing support, particularly during her ongoing health challenges. She noted that Bimby had spent time with her in the United States while she underwent treatment. For this year, she said the most meaningful gift she could give him is space and independence.
“Bimb has sacrificed so much to take care of me, but he doesn’t have to anymore. The best gift I can give him is to let him enjoy his youth and let him choose his own career path. My deal with him is [that] he just has to give his 100%,” Kris added.

Kris also shared updates about her ongoing treatment, mentioning that she is currently undergoing immunotherapy and working with a new medical team. She said she has one more infusion session of Rituxan as part of her second cycle, describing it as a strong immunosuppressant that has shown encouraging results so far.
She added that adjustments have been made to her medical arrangements, including rescheduling a planned presentation, as she chose to prioritize Bimby’s birthday weekend and a family dinner.
