Palace Warns vs Scammers Posing as First Lady Liza Marcos

Malacañang is warning the public about scammers allegedly posing as First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos on WhatsApp.

According to Palace press officer Claire Castro, some individuals have been using the First Lady’s profile photo to message people and solicit money, even going so far as to send directives to government officials.

The First Lady also addressed the issue on her official Facebook and Instagram accounts after receiving inquiries from contacts who wanted to verify suspicious messages.

“To be clear: these messages are not from me,” she said. “There are individuals impersonating others and attempting to solicit money through deception.”
