Two House Resolutions that seek to recognize and congratulate BINI for their historic Coachella performance have been filed before the House of Representatives.

In an official statement, Negros Occidental 3rd District Representative Javier Miguel Benitez filed House Resolution (HR) No. 930 to commend the “Nation’s Girl Group” for bringing OPM to the global stage.
“Our Nation’s Girl Group successfully brought the ‘Pantropiko’ heat to the global mainstream,” the post read.
“We filed the House Resolution No. 930, officially commending the ‘Nation’s Girl Group,’ BINI, for their groundbreaking performance at Coachella 2026. Their performances weren’t just a win for the fans, it was a massive milestone for our creative industries and a masterclass in bringing OPM to the global stage,” it added.
Similarly, Cebu City 1st District Representative Rachel Marguerite Del Mar filed House Resolution No. 934, commending both BINI and Sophia Laforteza of KATSEYE for bringing Filipino representation, music, and culture to Coachella.
Meanwhile, Bam Aquino has filed Senate Resolution No. 370, seeking to honor the all-Filipino girl group for being the first Filipino P-pop act to perform at the said music festival. Through this resolution, he expressed that BINI’s performance could pave the way for more opportunities and greater visibility for P-pop and local artists.
“BINI’s performance showcased Filipino pride through the use of traditional elements, including the salakot and tropical-inspired attire, as well as a fusion of contemporary and traditional styles in their costumes, music, and choreography,” the resolution read.
On April 11 and 18, BINI made history at Coachella 2026, performing their hits “Pantropiko,” “Karera,” and “Salamin, Salamin.” On the same dates, Sophia Laforteza also brought Filipino representation as part of the multinational girl group KATSEYE, performing viral tracks like “Touch,” “Gameboy,” and “Gabriela,” among others.
