Russian researchers have developed a way to guess your personality from a selfie. A study claimed that a new AI can assess one’s personality through an emotionless selfie.

In a study called  Assessing the Big Five personality traits using real-life static facial images, researchers built an artificial neural network that can assess 128 different factors of a person’s face.
“We trained a cascade of artificial neural networks (ANNs) on a large labelled dataset to predict self-reported Big Five scores,” said the researchers. With this, the researchers used the data to reveal and analyze five different personality traits of a person. These are conscientiousness, neuroticism, extraversion, agreeableness, and openness.

The study was done with over 25,000 participants who completed a questionnaire provided by the researchers. The participants also uploaded more than 77,000 photographs to assess their personalities. This study also hopes to improve future selections of dating websites, online tutoring, and the like.
