‘Money Heist’ Creator Gives an Update on the Show’s 5th Season

As soon as fans of La Casa de Papel (or Money Heist) finished bingeing the latest season their immediate question was: Will the show be getting a season 5?

The answer’s been pretty vague considering that Netflix has neither confirmed nor denied the continuation of the popular drama while other sources have claimed the show will be getting at least one more season.

While the streaming platform still hasn’t officially announced the 5th season, there’s a pretty reliable source making it look like we will be getting answers to that season 4 cliffhanger — Money Heist creator himself, Alex Pina.

Pina shared on Instagram a photo of himself lounging about with his laptop at the ready. His caption translates to “Writing La Casa de Papel 5.”

It’s worth noting that Pina previously confirmed the 5th season with Deadline but declined to give further details as “Netflix will put a bomb in my house.”

The rest of his caption reads: Maybe someone identifies that shirt I wear with the one that gave Tokyo [Úrsula Corberó’s character from Money Heist] its name. But it’s not like that.

“Since then every time I see a Tokyo shirt I buy it, but the genuine one, the authentic one that she wore on the day of her christening, is the one in the second image.
