Michelle Dee seems to have inherited the best traits from both her mom and dad, transitioning effortlessly from beauty queen to action star. ICYDK, she is only the daughter of beauty queen Melanie Marquez and former action star Derek Dee.

The Miss Universe Philippines 2023 showcased her action star skills in her latest video, teasing her much-anticipated appearance on the GMA series, “Black Rider!” The behind-the-scenes clip from the action-packed TV show starring Ruru Madrid, Matteo Guidicelli, Yassi Pressman, Katrina Halili, and Kylie Padilla, among others, garnered thousands of views and reactions from Dee’s fans and followers!

For those who missed it, Michelle announced that she would be joining “Black Rider” last November. This project reunites her with Ruru, whom she previously worked with in the 2019 romantic drama film “Cara X Jagger.”

In an earlier interview, she expressed her excitement, “I knew na it was a motorcycle concept, and alam niyo naman–I’m such an adrenaline junkie, [so] I was like ‘I want to be on that show!'”
Later on, she posted on Instagram Stories alongside photos of herself in character: “A new assassin is about to emerge. Abangan on #BlackRider.”
Michelle Dee took home the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 crown in May and represented the country at the 72nd Miss Universe pageant. She finished in the Top 10 and was given special recognitions: “Voice for Change,” Carnival Cruise Award, and “Best in National Costume.”
Aside from being a beauty queen and a budding action star, she is also the country’s new tourism ambassador and a civilian reservist with the Philippine Air Force.
