Michelle Dee is on her way to achieving her goal of becoming a civilian reservist. The beauty queen is currently undergoing basic citizen military training with the Philippine Air Force. On Instagram, the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 proudly shared her recent milestone.
“‘The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.’ It’s always been a goal of mine to become a civilian reservist, which for me is one of the highest forms of love for your country! If you’re waiting for a sign – this is it,” she wrote.

Dee also uploaded snaps where she posed with her mother, Melanie Marquez. The ceremony, where Dee was awarded a Certificate of Attendance, was held at the Philippine Air Force Villamor Air Base.

In September, it was announced that the 28-year-old began her military training. Crowned as the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 in May, Dee will represent the country in this year’s Miss Universe in November, to be held in El Salvador.
