Lovi Poe is devastated over the loss of her dog, Phoebe. She paid tribute to her beloved pet for 17 years by uploading a video compilation of their memories and detailing their touching final moments together.
“As I lay on the couch with Phoebe, Señorito started sniffing the balcony door as if inviting us to step outside and do what we usually do in these wee hours,” she began her post.
The actress-model said despite Phoebe’s frail condition, she still managed to reach the door, “I had the impulse to carry her to alleviate her efforts, yet it seemed she preferred to walk. And so I let her.”
She also shared that her 4 a.m. routine with her dogs involved drinking coffee, going out for a run, and listening to a newly curated morning playlist. But that day, they decided to cherish the beauty of sunrise together.

“However, yesterday, we sat in silence, the three of us together, awaiting the break of dawn. I held Phoebe in my arms throughout the morning, and even Señor, usually prone to jealousy, remained quiet.”
She added, “It was a day where time seemed to stand still; I knew I was given a little bit more time. I was given the chance to be with her on her last sunrise.”
Lovi emphasized that she’s grateful and happy that Phoebe is still able to live longer and they get to spend 17 years together, “Though the moment was tinged with sorrow, she had brought us immense joy for 17 years. Originally given a mere six months to live, she surpassed all expectations and graced us with an additional two beautiful years.”
“Run freely now, Phoebe, and jump around the clouds. Carry my love and kisses to my other cherished angels, Ross, Chibby, Chubby, and Seth,” she concluded her post.
The “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” actress even shared a heartfelt photo of her and Phoebe’s last moment as they watched the sunrise. In the caption, she wrote, “The one where Phoebe and I watch her last sunrise,” indicating the date, February 22.
