LOOK: This Alcohol Brand Works Double Time to Meet Demand amid the Coronavirus

Kudos to the hardworking staff!

The ongoing Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) has shown us the good, bad, and ugly in people. While there are hoarders who clean the shelves of groceries and leave people with barely enough items for themselves, there are also good people out there. These include the front-liners— the medical team, retail workers, restaurant staff, guards, soldiers, garbage collectors, and even the custodians. This may not be all of them, but you can bet that they’re putting their lives on the line for our overall safety and well-being.

So let’s focus on the good that they do. Especially the factory workers, who deserve so much praise for their hard work.

Alcohol is often sold out in groceries because of the repeated mantra of keeping our hands clean and sanitizing to avoid the spread of the virus. Or germs, for that matter. So to meet the surging demand for alcohol, one brand just ramped up production despite the ongoing Covid-19 and enhanced Community Quarantine.

And it’s none other than Green Cross, Inc.

Beyond the popular Green Cross alcohol that we all know, Green Cross also manufactures Green Cross Soap and Zonrox bleach.

Increased Production

When this local brand saw the bare shelves in groceries, it knew that it had to buckle up. Currently, Green Cross is working longer hours to increase output and meet the unprecedented demand for its products, particularly for alcohol.

“We urge consumers to do their part in ensuring the availability of alcohol by not hoarding, and
by limiting purchases to two bottles as recommended by the DTI.” Green Cross President Michael Co said in a statement. He also called for people to be more considerate and understanding during this current medical emergency, and for the public to cooperate with authorities for the benefit of the country.

Promise to Deliver

Green Cross promised that it would make sure that more products will be delivered to hospitals, health centers, drugstores and groceries in the coming days. For this to happen, it appealed to the government to let their employees, supply trucks and delivery trucks pass smoothly for this to happen.

“We are all working hard to make sure that the supplies needed to combat the spread of the virus are readily and sufficiently available for all, especially for our tireless health workers and other front-liners,” Co added.

Aside from that, Green Cross will also continue to donate alcohol to government hospitals and health centers for their use.

Health and Safety of their Team

Green Cross has also been busy making arrangements to ensure the health and safety of its employees. So far, it has provided them with transportation, and staff accommodations to help them get to work easily. Their workplace is also equipped with alcohol pumping stations, while their production lines are being sanitized regularly.

According to Co, “we are one with the nation in this fight against an invisible enemy. With everyone’s cooperation, we are confident that the country will be able to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic and move toward recovery.”
