Hello, fellow Huawei fans!
It’s NOVA season once again and today, Huawei officially unveils the Huawei Nova 5T and I’m super excited to tell you all about it!
But wait btw, do you know what the word NOVA means?
The word “nova” simply means “new star.” This word perfectly fits this smartphone series as it’s youthful, fresh, unique, fashionable, dynamic, chic and inNOVAtive! Huawei’s NOVA Series is well suited to the young, trendy and vivacious millennials and Gen Zs who seek smartphones that are affordable and matches their unique quirky vibe.
Think of it this way – Huawei NOVA= the flagship smartphone for the young generation.
To show you the contents of the box and how the NOVA 5T looks like, here’s a quick unboxing video I made for you:
Ok, now we continue with our 1st impressions.
The LOOK
It comes in 3 alluring color options: The Midsummer Purple, Crush Blue and Black. I instantly fell in love with the Midsummer Purple color (planning to buy this color soon)! The back surface has this 3D holographic effect. It looks so me! Can’t get my eyes off of it. It looks and feels so awesome to carry with you as it looks so eye-catching and fashionable like an accessory that you wanna show off to friends. It has a 6.26-inch Full view display, 2.5D curved screen w/ FHD+ 2340 x 1080 resolution at 412 ppi. I also noticed the side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The FEEL
It feels so comfortable to hold with 1 hand, slightly smaller than my Huawei P30 Pro. It fits my pocket well. Sleek, sexy, edgy, yet premium. Feels like another fun phone to have.

Well, expect the usual stuff like the manual, ejection tool, earphones, type-C cable and SuperCharge charger. Yes, SUPER CHARGE!

Huawei NOVA 5T has a quad-camera setup. For the rear camera, it houses a 48-megapixel primary lens with f/1.8 aperture, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. For the front cam, it features a hole-punch design 32MP selfie lens shooter located at the upper left part of the screen.

As for the AI (artificial intelligence) camera features, it has AR lens, Night Mode, Professional Portrait Mode, PRO Mode, Slow-mo, Light painting, HDR, Time-lapse, Moving pictures, stickers and even Super Macro Mode.
When I got to test it during my recent trip, I felt like I was using a P Series flagship phone. I particularly enjoyed taking food shots using its Night Mode as it made my food shots more appetizing ‘coz it looked more vibrant and sharp.

The BATTERY
Huawei’s battery never disappoints. The NOVA 5T is packed with 3,750mAh battery with support 22.5W Huawei SuperCharge technology so expect your phone to be fully charged in less than 2hrs (maximum time estimate).
For gamers, the NOVA 5T includes the GPU Turbo, Virtual 9.1 surround sound + enhanced Bluetooth to further elevate/energize gaming performance.
The Price
Huawei priced the NOVA 5T at only P18,990! OMG seriously? I find it affordable to think the phone is packed with high-end flagship features.
