The father of celebrity sisters Angelika and Mika Dela Cruz has passed away.
Angelika shared the sad announcement on her Instagram page with an emotional letter accompanying her post featuring multiple photos of her family.

“Daddy you are my best friend ang kakampi ko sa lahat .. I’m heartbroken dahil iniwan moko agad .. I love you so much Dad. Mabuti kang tao na maraming tinulungan.. pahinga ka na .. Rest in Peace Dad .. masaya ako para sayo at mag kasama na kayo ni Edward .. till we meet again .. mahal na mahal kita #daddysgirl,” she wrote.
Mika, on the other hand, changed her profile picture to an old photo of her being carried by her father. About a week ago, she wrote a pained note asking for prayers from her fans and friends.
“Words aren’t enough to express how sad, scared and broken I am right now.. sobrang sakit makita yung kalagayan mo ngayon. Nabigla tayong lahat.. hindi tayo handa. I have now realized how precious each moment is and daddy I will forever be grateful for you. you saved me.. you accepted me with all your heart. kaya daddy lalakasan ko loob ko, para sayo kasi we still need you. I STILL NEED YOU. Pinasa na kita kay LORD sabi ko siya na ang bahala. Mahal ka niya. Mahal kita. Lalaban tayo,” she said.
