LOOK: BLACKPINK will be the first K-Pop girl group to perform at Coachella

Coachella has become one of the most popular music festivals in the USA, if not around the world. Performing in Coachella has come to signify a place of prominence in the mainstream music industry. This is especially true for BLACKPINK, whose Coachella performance will also be their first performance in the US, ever.

Their success doesn’t stop at just being part of Coachella. They also listed quite high for a first-time performer. They landed on the second row of the poster, below only Childish Gambino. This placement signifies their status amongst the other performers since it is topline billing. It is even reported that the founder of Coachella, Paul Tollett, flew to South Korea just to personally invite BLACKPINK to Coachella.

The foursome teased the news by posting the official poster on their Instagram with the caption: “see you there”
