WATCH: BLACKPINK recreates the Mean Girls’ Jingle Bell Rock dance

K-pop Girl Group BLACKPINK just held their Christmas Eve concert in Japan. Performing at Osaka’s Kyocera Dome, they were the first foreign girl group to make their mark on that particular stage. And, of course, for such a big moment they had to have something special prepared.

In the spirit of Christmas, BLACKPINK recreated the unforgettable “Jingle Bell Rock” scene from hit Hollywood 2004 movie, Mean Girls. I’m sure you know the one — the girls of “The Plastics” clad in shiny, red Santa costumes performing the now-iconic dance performance.

BLACKPINK’s Christmas Eve performance takes the dance and replicates it perfectly. They even included Gretchen’s ‘mistake’ of bumping into Regina in the middle of the dance! Then the K-pop girl group adds their own take on the number, eventually shifting to a more upbeat track with hip-hop moves to go along with it. You’ve got to see it to appreciate it.
