Remember “Badjao Girl,” the one who went viral after a photographer took photos of her at the Pahiyas Festival in Lucban, Quezon back in 2016? She has definitely come a long way since then—joining “Pinoy Big Brother,” appearing in “It’s Showtime,” and modeling—and now, she’s embracing a new chapter in her life as a mom!
Rita Gaviola introduced to friends and fans on Instagram her baby girl, named Kia, and her non-showbiz partner on Monday, August 8, as she expressed her love for them. “Mahal ko kayo (I love you both),” she wrote.

“Sa mga nadissapoint or madami pang sasabihin saakin buhay ko [yung] tinatahak ko [tsaka] madami pa akong kayang gawin and maraming salamat po sa mga sumusuporta kasama na namin si baby kia sa susunod na mga vlog namin,” she added in the comments.
[“To those who are disappointed or have so much to say about me, I am living my life and I have a lot that I still want to do. Thank you to all who support me. We will now have baby Kia in our future vlogs.”]
A day after, the PBB alum shared a couple of close-up shots of her baby and hit back at bashers to spare her child from negativity.
“Sabihan ninyo lang ako masasakit na salita kahit laitin niyo ako okay lang saakin Basta wag ninyo lang idamay ang anak ko tatanggapin ko lahat ng masasakit wag lang anak ko,” she said.
[“Direct your hurtful words to me, even if you criticize me it’s okay. Just don’t involve my child. I will embrace all the hate, just spare my baby.”]
Rita entered “Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7” alongside Maymay Entrata, Edward Barber, Heaven Peralejo, and Kisses Delavin after rising to fame for her viral photos. Later, she appeared on GMA Network’s “Sahaya” and joined the “Sexy Babe” segment of “It’s Showtime.” Last year, she also expressed her desire to compete in Miss Universe Philippines.
