Lima Park Hotel and Batangas Food Trip for the WhenInManila.com Team’s Out-of-Town Weekend
When in Manila and in dire need to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, nothing could be better than gathering up your closest friends and taking the quick trip to Batangas for a weekend of fun and relaxation at Lima Park Hotel. And while you’re at it, why not go for a food trip along the streets of Lipa and try their famous lomi and goto?

That’s exactly what the WhenInManila.com team did recently, and it’s safe to say that all of us went back to the city pleasantly refreshed and reenergized!
Our team had been talking about a arranging a group get-together for the longest time, and Lima Park Hotel, tucked away in Lipa along with its simple yet scenic surrounds and R&R-conducive vibes, was the perfect place to set up our team-building/bonding weekend.
The sight of fluffy pillows, inviting white sheets and the soft afternoon light was such a warm welcome after the 2-hour ride! Lima Park Hotel’s newly-renovated Standard rooms offer all the comfort and convenience of home, with a dash of elegance and luxury worthy of its four-star rating.
The first half of our weekend was spent on fun team-building activities courtesy of Traverse Outdoor group. Their team specializes in facilitating indoor and outdoor group activities specific to the needs and goals of your party. The unique and challenging games they had prepared for us definitely exercised our collaborative efforts and made us work as a unified team.

I also liked how they professionally managed our program. They are experienced in organizing large group activities and are all trained in first-aid, so you can be sure that your gathering will be a safe, secure and productive one.

The rest of our weekend was spent lounging by the pool, sharing stories, and enjoying the free time we had in our hands. Super relaxing!

We also got the chance to try our hand at pizza making, care of Lima Park Hotel’s executive chef, Pol Poblador. Let me tell you, kneading dough is NO easy feat! Though it did feel great to savor the fruits of our labor. My favorite part was getting creative and picking out which toppings to put on our pizzas!
Achievement unlocked: Heart-shaped pizza!
