In his latest vlog, Leon opened up about how Julia has been instrumental in helping him complete his studies.

“I wanted to say thank you to Julia because for the past few years, she’s been the reason why I’ve been able to go to college, and for that I really want to say thank you,” Leon shared.

He added that finishing college wasn’t just for himself, but also a way of honoring the love and sacrifices of his family.

“There’s a reason why I worked so hard not only for myself but also for mom, and for you, too, Julia. Thank you for making my dreams come true by putting me into school,” he continued.

Leon also took the time to recognize their mom, Marjorie Barretto, for instilling in him the importance of education. He said, “And of course, mom for raising me and making me see the value of school in general.”

Looking back at his academic journey at the University of Asia & the Pacific, Leon described his graduation as a chapter he’ll forever hold close.

“I can’t believe we’re here. I can’t believe that I’m actually done with school. Definitely, it was such a chapter that I will forever appreciate. I worked so hard, most especially the last four years here in college. It was something that I really valued, and before anything, before I wanted to start any dream of mine, it was important for me to prioritize school at the end of the day,” he said.

Fans were quick to flood Leon’s comments section with congratulations and kind words. Many praised Julia not just as an actress, but as a supportive sister who works hard for her family.

What makes this milestone even more heartwarming is that Leon actually graduated the same year as his mom, Marjorie.

At 51, Marjorie also earned her college diploma, proving that it’s truly never too late to achieve your goals.
