Are you a fan of ‘Miss Saigon’? If so, then these two names should not be new to you. Lea Salonga, after all, was the very first Kim in the world, and Eva Noblezada recently starred in the 25th anniversary of the said musical.
Now, both of these amazing singer-actresses will be starring together in Eva’s first feature film ‘Yellow Rose’. The movie is being directed by Diane Paragas and has been in development for 15 years. The story revolves around 17-year-old Rose, played by Eva Noblezada, a Filipino-American teenager who dreams of being a country music icon. When her mother gets arrested, she has to learn to fend for herself and decide whether she should follow her dreams or not. Lea Salong will be playing Rose’s aunt in the film.
We absolutely cannot wait for this movie musical to come out, especially with two amazing Filipina stars at the helm. Eva has been nominated for a Tony award for her performance in the recent revivial of ‘Miss Saigon’ on Broadway, while Lea was recently on Broadway in ‘Once On This Island’.
