Kathryn Bernardo is still a certified Kapamilya! She renewed her contract with ABS-CBN’s Star Magic on February 2, which also marked her 20 years in the showbiz industry.
The award-winning actress turned emotional during her contract signing as she expressed gratitude to the network and her supporters, friends, and loved ones.

She began her heartfelt speech by recalling the denial of ABS-CBN’s franchise in 2020, “I remember 2020, I made a promise. Sinabi ko sa ABS-CBN na ‘hindi kita iiwan at nandito lang ako hanggang makabangon ka ulit’.”
“Today, here I am fulfilling that promise. Ang daming nangyari sa ABS-CBN but mahal ko sobra yung kompanya,” she added.
Bernardo also looked back on the previous year, revealing it was such a hard time for her. In 2023, she confirmed her split with her ex-boyfriend, Daniel Padilla.
“Last year was very, very hard time for me, and it’s so hard to find real friends in the industry. Prinove lang nila na possible pa rin na makahanap ka ng mabuting tao sa industriya on and off cam, and good people. Andyan silang lahat. They make my life lighter, they make everything so much better.”
The Kapamilya actress told her supporters, “To my fans, alam ko na naging mahirap din sa inyo, especially last year. So many challenges, ang dami nating pinagdaanan pero nandito ako, nandito kayo.”

She continued, “Kaya natin, kinaya, and kakayanin. Don’t worry about anything, don’t worry about me. Andito pa rin ako. I will continue to make you proud.”
The 27-year-old also received touching messages from fellow celebrities, directors, and producers, including Alden Richards, Jericho Rosales, and Piolo Pascual.
She was accompanied by her mother, Min Bernardo, at the contract signing. Meanwhile, the ABS-CBN executives present were President and CEO Carlo Katigbak, COO of Broadcast Cory Vidanes, Chairman Mark Lopez, Head of TV Production and Star Magic Laurenti Dyogi, and among others.
